Join us at an upcoming Community Working Group meeting! The OUR FLORIDA REEFS community planning process is moving along and you are encouraged to participate.
In the initial stage of the process, there were two Community Working Groups designated– a North Group representing Martin and Palm Beach Counties and a South Group representing Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. Beginning in September 2015, these groups will be meeting jointly for two-day meetings from 9am – 5pm, and you are invited to attend! At these meetings you will have the opportunity to observe the Working Groups planning management recommendations for coral reefs and other marine resources of Southeast Florida, that seek to establish a more effective balance between the use and protection of Southeast Florida’s coral reefs. PLUS, you’ll be able to meet with your stakeholder representative and make your voice heard in the decision-making process.
HELP SPREAD THE WORD! Please encourage your friends and family to attend community working group meetings. Whether you’re a diver, fisher, or an occasional beachgoer, we want you to have a say in the future of OUR FLORIDA REEFS.
